With this method ear wax is removed using a video otoscope with a tool called curette. Wax is gently pulled from the ear, all while the patient watches on the video monitor!
Also known as lavage, irrigation is a method of warm water flushing of the ears using a high powered specialty tool called The Earigator (TM). This process is used when curette cannot clear the ear because the wax is too deep or too impacted. The water temperature is as close to body temperature as possible so the patient does not have any dizzying side effects.
